Olivia Lions Club   

Activities:

Fly -In Breakfast:  This annual event is now into its 19th year and is the largest single project of the year for the club, conducted on the concluding Sunday of Corn Capital Days.  The club provides a breakfast/brunch of pancakes, eggs, sausage and beverage, for drive in, fly in, and bike in participants.

Area Kids Halloween Party:  Staged at the Olivia National Guard Armory with the Olivia Lions inviting all Olivia area kids for this 7 - 9 p.m. party which features games and treats. 

Santa Visits:  Each December, the Olivia Lions take two weekends to visit homes with treats for the kids and pictures with Santa.  Visits are taken by request through newspaper advertisements.

Highway 71-212 Ditch Cleanup:  This project dates back to when the state of MN first initiated volunteer manpower to walk and clean U.S. highways each fall and spring.  The Olivia Lions clean 3 1/2 miles along the highways.  We were the first group in the community to begin this project and over 30 years, have walked nearly 800 miles.
